SUMMARY:32nd Annual ACA Arizona Retreat on Mingus Mountain
DESCRIPTION:You have an opportunity to be a part one of the oldest and best recovery retreats in the world. The 32nd annual ACA Arizona Retreat on Mingus Mountain is September 8-10th. Tickets are limited\, we can only accommodate 160 people. http://aca-arizona.org/retreat-details/ Our camp is in the crater of an extinct volcano\, on top of the mountain above the mountain-side artsy ghost mining town of Jerome. If you are not familiar with the artist colony of Jerome\, the streets are lined with gift shops\, art galleries\, and restaurants\, where miners\, gunslingers\, gamblers\, and cowboys roamed the streets only a century ago. The retreat is 1.5 hours north of Phoenix\, 2.5 short hours from The Grand Canyon and less than 35 minutes from Sedona. Sedona vortex map. Click here to see a video of the scenic drive up and over the mountain into Jerome. \nIn September when its 105 degrees in Phoenix\, its typically about 75 to 80 degrees on the mountain. Late night temperatures are usually a comfortable 50 to 60 degrees. That mountain weather will be a welcome change by September. For just $140 or less you can join us and take a break from the recovery monotony. Let someone else do the cooking for a change\, and work your program at your pace in this serene rustic environment. \nCost: For now until January 12th\, 2017 the cost is the same as 2016 $140 for 3 days of events\, speakers\, meals and lodging ($120 if you bring your own tent\, camper\, motorhome or stay in a hotel)\, and $75 for a day pass that includes lunch and dinner. If you cant commit to the weekend\, try the Saturday day pass. It could be the best $75 youll ever spend. If you can afford a small donation to help someone with limited funds attend\, youll find that option on the payment page.\n2013 Retreat Details \nWhat to expect: Lots of fun\, new friends\, plenty of food\, fellowship\, with a blend of ACA recovery meetings\, speakers\, workshops and great people who are also pursuing recovery and self improvement. Theres campfires\, music\, hiking\, trails\, fishing\, guided meditation\, volleyball\, frisbee golf\, a meadow for games or sun bathing\, plenty of shade\, sports\, kite flying\, and anything else that sets your spirit free. When you want a ride\, we even have 6-seater golf carts to transport us around the small camp.
