Archery in the Afternoon
Join us for some lunch followed by two
hours of recreational archery*

Let’s meet for lunch at 11:30 AM at The Natural Café
2667 Tapo Canyon Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063
Then, let’s head on over to the archery range at Conejo Valley Archers
4651 Tapo Canyon Rd, Simi Valley, CA 93063 (in the Tapo Canyon County Park)
HOW:
1. To register, see John K. or Jannelle.
2. Space is limited to 30 participants.
3. $10 prepaid by June 30th is required to reserve your place.
4. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
5. *No prior archery experience is necessary. All bows (recurve), arrows and personal
protective equipment will be provided. All instruction provided by professionally trained
archery instructors.
6. If you want to bring your own bow, it must first be inspected by range safety personnel.
7. Parking is free in the CVA club parking lot (a short walk to the range). Paid parking is
also available (closer to the archery range).
8. Don’t forget to bring some money for lunch!
Driving Directions to The Natural Café:
– from the 118E (coming from Thousand Oaks / Ventura)
From the 118E take the Tapo Canyon Road exit and turn left.
– from the 118W (coming from the San Fernando Valley)
From the 118W take the Tapo Canyon Road exit and turn right.

Driving Directions to Conejo Valley Archers:
– from the 118E (coming from Thousand Oaks / Ventura)
From the 118E take the Tapo Canyon Road exit and turn left.
– from the 118W (coming from the San Fernando Valley)
From the 118W take the Tapo Canyon Road exit and turn right.
Drive ~3 miles north, past the golf course staying on Tapo Canyon Road until you see the CVA and Tapo
Canyon Park signs on the left. Drive SLOWLY into the park; continue straight and look to the left where you will
see our gated asphalt parking area which you enter through the wide double gates. Parking on Saturdays is free
within our gated fence area.
The Public Open Session shooting area is back out of the parking area. You will see the JOAD range targets
ahead of you to the left as you walk through the gates and out of CVA’s free parking area.
If you want to park in the upper parking area located within the park itself and directly below the JOAD range
area you must pay the park fee at the kiosk as you drive in, or have a Ventura County Park Annual Pass Parking
Permit.
